The annual Junior residential has been a huge highlight of the term, with both year groups travelling to the Isle of Wight on 15 May for three days of action and adventure at the Little Canada PGL centre. Students approached all of the activities with gusto and were keen to take on the challenges of the sensory trail, Jacob’s ladder and the climbing wall. The giant swing was a particular favourite with students (as well as staff), with everyone working together to help hoist their friends into the air. All of the groups also enjoyed taking to the seas in keelboats to learn about sailing, with some students taking the opportunity to practise their sea shanties. Overall, the trip was excellent at cementing friendships and encouraging team work and challenge. Staff were very proud of how the students conducted themselves and we received many compliments from the PGL instructors about how well they approached each activity.
