Art scholars helped with the recent primary schools art exhibition held at St Helen’s on 30 October. It was great to have the opportunity of attending this exhibition as it was my first time helping out at an event since I started at St Helen’s in September.
I was given the role of meeting and greeting families when they arrived at the main door, and leading them into the Long Gallery where the exhibition took place. I found it very interesting to be able to talk to the visiting children about the inspiration behind their pieces, because they all displayed such creative and bold ideas. I thought that all the work was a very impressive, especially from such young artists and certainly was no lack of imagination and you could see all the pieces had a story of adventure behind them.
