This year's Spring Concert is a celebration of the amazing things that our ensembles achieved during remote school. Their commitment to remote rehearsals and recording projects has been quite outstanding and we are so grateful to all our musicians for their enthusiasm and dedication. This evening's performances were mostly recorded from home (although a few were filmed last week in school) and there is representation from Lower School, Middle School and Sixth Form in this wonderfully varied programme. The concert begins with Schumann’s song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben or 'A woman’s life and love' - a short collection of songs which follow the emotional journey of a young woman through courtship, marriage, pregnancy, and beyond. The story will be presented by vocal students in Upper Sixth who have worked with their singing teachers and Frau Norman to produce a unique and remotely recorded collaborative performance of the piece. We hope that you can relax and enjoy the final online concert of Lent term.
