On 1 October the Upper Sixth geographers set off to Studland bay to investigate the psammosere ecosystem (sand dunes) and coastal management. We enjoyed learning about different data collection techniques such as measuring the gradient of the dune and bi-polar surveys to assess management techniques. This helped our understanding and now we can apply these methods to our NEAs (coursework investigation). Eating ice cream on the beach was a great way to end the day!
