On 25 June 18 students from St Helen’s attended the national final of The Great Big Dance Off at Cheltenham Town Hall. Having won their regional heat the students had been rehearsing hard and were excited to see how they would fare against the very best schools in the country. When they stepped onto the stage they rose to the occasion, performing their routine beautifully and once again wowing the audience with Charlotte King’s beautiful choreography. The moving tribute to the Amber Phillpot charity left the audience near tears, and the students received some lovely feedback from other schools. It was a tense wait during the second half for the results and the students were incredibly proud to find out they had placed 9th in the country! Congratulations to all the students in the company who have worked so hard this year, we are very proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing next year’s routine.
