On 17 November, a group of us were fortunate enough to attend The Geology of Wine evening at Radley College. Over the course of the evening we sampled five wines, learning how the flavour and scent was impacted by the rock type and origin of the vineyard. Our favourite was the Muscadet wine grown on granite soils. The event expanded our knowledge on the wine tasting process and increased our understanding of complexity of wine. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and created an interesting link to our geographical understanding.
