As soon as I heard about the project and the title ‘Where can Geography take you?’ the image of the London cabbie and her/his immense hippocampus popped into my head. I wanted my project to be about mapping, humans and transport. What I loved about the process of taking the idea to the conclusion was that it became a family table conversation and in the process I learnt about the ancient (the Mumbai dabbawalas) and the modern (lift-share/Uber type apps). The most challenging part of the project was sitting through tonnes of information from the internet and scattered in my head, figuring out how to condense it onto one A3 page, and at the same time making it look eye-catching. When I look at my project now, I think I could have done a better job with colours and by using more diagrams and fewer words.
The very best bit was cookies and orange juice at the end of it all!
