Year 11 and Sixth Form students participated as delegates from different countries and debated global issues.
The day started with a talk from a former UN Peacekeeper, then the girls went off into their separate committees to debate a number of engaging topics with students from other schools, including the Gender Pay Gap; Women, Peace, and Security; and the Rights of Women in Conflict.
Celine (Year 11) said, “The conference was really helpful with building and gaining more confidence in debating and public speaking. We found it a fun experience, especially with the friendly community at Headington. It was really interesting to learn and explore different issues and policies around gender equality in different cultures.”
