Throughout the history of St Helen and St Katharine, students have been able to come to our school because their families received assistance towards the fees.
We know that bursaries increase social mobility, inclusion and diversity and a more inclusive, diverse student body is beneficial for all students, broadening outlooks and better preparing them for life beyond St Helen’s.
As we approach our 125th anniversary, we wish to confirm our commitment to our charitable origins by increasing our bursary provision, funding more full bursaries and more Sixth Form bursaries to support the education of brilliant young women.
We are asking each member of the school community – alumnae, current and former parents – to support our bursary fund with a gift of £125, either as a one-off or by pledging just £25 a year for five years.
The world is ever-changing, and we must respond while remaining true to our core value of providing the best specialist education to girls and young women, whatever their financial circumstances.
