We welcomed over 200 students and parents from across Abingdon for our first ever Careers in the Creative Industries event.
The evening was a great opportunity to learn more about what it’s like working in different careers across the full creative spectrum. From Dance to Design, and from the Built Environment to Heritage and Culture, there was something for everyone.
We were delighted to host a number of volunteer guest speakers who are experts in their fields, and in some cases Alumnae of the School. Sessions took place in the form of a carousel of three consecutive small classroom-sized (20-30 people) group discussions, each hosted by one of our volunteers working in the same sector, such as Interior Architecture and Architecture. The sessions were pre-booked by students who also had the opportunity for a brief conversation with speakers from any of the creative industries before the evening drew to a close.
