Condover Hall – Year 7 residential 2026

SHSK School

Year 7 travelled to Condover Hall in Shropshire for a fantastic two-night action-packed and inspiring trip.

There were plenty of activities on the agenda, from kayaking to juggling, firing arrows to climbing the high ropes and flying with a trapeze. Apart from being tremendous fun, the activities were designed to develop key skills such as teamwork and inspire a sense of community across the year group.

The Condover residential is a right of passage for HelKats and many of our alumnae consider it the highlight of their time at St Helen and St Katharine. This makes it all the more special to see another load of happy memories being made for Year 7 students in 2026. We have shared a selection of quotes.

“I found the Leap of Faith activity particularly challenging as I have a fear of heights but my group and instructor were all really supportive and that really helped me.”

“I thought I wouldn’t get any sleep but I did!”

“I am proud of doing every single activity and so I will try things even if they are scary – like the trapeze!”

“This trip has helped me to realise that I can do whatever I set my mind to – I am brave.”

“I loved getting to know new people and making new friends.”

“This trip has given me good memories of Year 7.”

“I am so proud of doing the trapeze, tunnelling and making new friends.”

“Just don’t overthink things – give it a go and you will be able to achieve more than you think.”

“Jumping off the platform of the trapeze was scary, but the best thing ever!”
