March Madness 2026

Kirsty Harris, Head of Netball

Our annual March Madness competition was the perfect way to celebrate the end of another busy netball season at SHSK.

The competition is made up of 12 teams of students who have participated in any school netball this year and is led by Sixth Form captains in a variety of fancy dress outfits.

There is always excitement around the team names and costumes and this year’s array did not disappoint: Carrington’s Candy, Emilia’s Elephants. Rosie’s Royals, Freya’s Farm and Imo’s Icons to name a few. Hamilton’s Heroes won the prize for the best dressed team with superheroes all taking to the court.

At the end of the competition, there were numerous awards presented with Ellie (Year 8) and Florence (year 9) winning Bouncing Bunnies. Solid as a Rock defenders were Eve (Lower Sixth) and Lottie (Year 10). The Brave Heart award went to Georgia (Year 7). Evelyn (Year 11) and Rose (Lower Sixth) demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the competition with the Head’s Special Award going to Clio (Year 7) for her outstanding energy levels and continuous effort throughout the competition. A special mention to the Shooting Stars winners Bella (Year 10) and Abby (Year 7). Another very well contested final with some excellent shooting and impressive defending, the Champions of March Madness 2026 were Bower’s Barbies with the runners up Zoe’s Zumba Instructors.

Well done to all the students who took part!

Kirsty Harris, Head of Netball
