We were thrilled to welcome students and their families to our A level Options Evening in early October.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for Year 10 and Year 11 students to find out more about studying A levels at the School. The evening began with an inspirational talk from the Head, Sarah Rollings, and three current Sixth Form students, Annie, Tilly B, and Lena, who shared their reasons for deciding to stay on at St Helen’s and why they chose the subjects they did. They also gave their personal view of life beyond the curriculum, which gave prospective students further insight into life in the Sixth Form at SHSK.
The rest of the evening was filled with subject talks which allowed students to gain a more in-depth understanding of what studying a particular subject at A level involves and gave them the chance to ask the teachers questions. There were also members of staff on hand to offer help with academic choices and career guidance, along with a showcase of our St Katharine’ Study options and excellent co-curricular programme, Beyond.
