We were really excited to welcome well-known children’s author Holly Webb to SHSK for a talk and book-signing.
We met her on 12th February, which also happened to be the release date for Holly’s new book A Girl’s Guide to Spying. During the talk we found out a lot about Holly’s writing career (she has written 178 books!) and about her work with Brownies and Guides. Her new book was inspired by Holly’s own childhood as a Girl Guide and her activities now as Girl Guide leader. Holly always includes animals in her stories and I like that the dog Hector in A Girl’s Guide to Spying is based on her own childhood pet bull terrier.
