Our linguists celebrated our Soirée pyjama/fiesta de pijamas with enthusiasm and a healthy appetite for both languages and Dominos.
The evening began with drinks and a fascinating talk from alumna Amber Lawson‑Smith, who shared how her degree in Business and Languages led her into the world of cyber security.
Once the plates were cleared, the fun truly began. Students threw themselves into a series of team games in French and Spanish, competing with impressive flair (and occasionally questionable grammar) as they raced to outdo one another.
The night ended on a high with multilingual karaoke in French and Spanish. What followed was a collection of bold and highly memorable renditions of a few well‑known songs, delivered with more enthusiasm than pitch accuracy. It was the perfect finale to a relaxed, joyful evening celebrating the languages our students love.
