Last year, our students selected the wonderful organisation Be Free Young Carers as our Charity partner for the academic year.
This particular charity was chosen because of the organisation’s focus on helping young people who are helping others. Our charity prefect Ellie, along with charity reps Angela, Aoife, Marah, Maia, Izzy, Alice and Lily-Rose and former charity prefect Milly, helped to organise a number of fundraising events throughout the year.
Activities included non-school uniform days, bake sales, the staff play, St Kate’s Fair and Valentine’s lollies. Thanks to the efforts of our Parents’ Association and school community, we raised an incredible £10,300 for Be Free Young Carers.
These funds will help create real and lasting change for children and teenagers who care for loved ones. You can find out more about the charity here.
