Ski trip 2026

Charlotte Barras, Director of Sport

The Easter trip to Les Deux Alpes in France was a great success for Year 8 and Year 10 students.

The weather started off a bit cloudy with lots of snow falling and ended up with blue skies and a touch of sunburn!

Hear all about it below from our Year 8 students:

‘The school ski trip in March was one of the best trips I’ve ever done. I loved getting to choose who I shared a room with, and the skiing itself was amazing. The place we went to was beautiful, and one of my favourite moments was getting really high up the mountains and seeing the incredible views all around us. There was loads to do too: ice skating, the outdoor winter races, and a brilliant quiz night where my group won breakfast in bed! I also enjoyed going into town to buy souvenirs. It was such a brilliant week and I’d go back in a heartbeat.’

Aoife (Year 8)

‘Of all the school trips I have been on, the ski trip was definitely one of the best. During the week we had access to a supermarket just down the street and a little town with lots of shops to explore. We also went ice-skating and even swam in a heated outdoor pool whilst it was snowing, which looked magical. In the evenings we did a range of fun activities such as a quiz night, where we got into teams and completed different rounds. We also had an evening of snow games including sledging races, snowball fights and snow sculpture competitions. The food at the hotel was really good, with plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. For skiing, we were put into groups based on our ability, and or instructor taught us so much. He taught us everything from being able to get into the ski lift confidently to speeding down red runs. This trip taught me not only how to ski properly, but also how to be more independent. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.’
