The Snow Queen – a Junior production

SHSK School

The Junior department’s hard work, dedication and enthusiasm were on full display in this year’s production.

Throughout the show process, our Junior students demonstrated remarkable commitment, maintaining their energy and positivity even while rehearsing in the heatwave.

The performance took the audience on a dazzling adventure, following Kay who is taken by the powerful and mysterious Snow Queen. Determined to rescue her friend, the courageous Gerda embarks on an unforgettable quest through enchanted forests, icy landscapes, and magical kingdoms to bring him home.

Bursting with captivating songs, colourful characters and spectacular storytelling, this heart-warming musical celebrated courage, friendship and the power of love.

I really enjoyed just being able to act with all my friends and being on stage with them!

Evie, Ma Crow, Year 6

Our costumes have a spear, a netted skirt that we made ourselves, a white top with snowflake fabric dangling down from the shoulders and white leggings.

Izzy, Ice Spirit, Year 5

My favourite line in the show is 'What we gonna do Pa' or 'Can I tell Gerda, can I? You said I could!'

Akushla, Witch of Finland, Year 6

My favourite memory of all the rehearsals is all the ice spirits going 'I'm so sorry your majesty, please forgive me!' and also the crows because they're really funny, especially when they're just squabbling about.
