St Helen’s Winter Concert was a delightful evening of music performed by a number of our ensembles.
This concert provides younger students with the opportunity to perform their first concert in front of an audience and is a wonderful way of showcasing all their hard work. The ensembles included Main School Choir, PEFLEK, Wind Orchestra, Sinfonia, Sinfonietta and Team Pachabel; and they performed crowd-pleasers from films including Harry Potter and Moana.
During a post-concert interview, Emma (Y6) said, “I sang in the Sinfonietta, which came first, then I sang in the juniors. I’m looking forward to when I can perform in a brass band again because it was just really fun to play with the older girls. My goal for the Sixth Form is probably playing with my friends and just having fun with music. I feel like the best thing about performing in the concert was everyone hearing and appreciating your music after playing and practising so hard.”
