Year 10 complete Silver DofE expedition

Year 10 students spent three days in the Chiltern hills completing their Silver DofE expedition.

The expedition is designed to get students outdoors and spend a night with their friends learning skills like leadership, resilience, teamwork, and communication whilst building lifelong memories. Our group of 30 students covered approximately 17km per day on a circular route, exploring the woodlands around Wendover, then headed south towards Chesham before returning north to finish at Marsworth.

After a long, hot summer the good weather finally broke, providing plenty of rain to challenge the group’s waterproofing skills and test their layering. They had to be organised at the campsites in order to get tents up (and down!) in between showers and cooking, which was a challenge but they persisted and maintained good spirits to the end.
