Welcome to St Helen and St Katharine. We are delighted that you are considering us for your daughter’s education.
Choosing the right school for your daughter can be one of the most important decisions you will make, and whether you are familiar with independent education or considering it for the first time, the Admissions team is here to help to advise and guide you through the process. Open Day 2025
Our next whole-school Open Day will take place on Saturday 4 October 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to meet staff and students, discover our inspiring curriculum and beautiful campus, delve into our extensive extracurricular programme and so much more.
Join us in Year 7 event
Taking place on Tuesday 6 May this event is for families considering St Helen and St Katharine for their daughters for Year 7 entry in 2026 and beyond.
Prospective students and their parents will have an exciting opportunity to tour the School and its outstanding facilities and to see our Year 7 and Year 8 lessons in action. There will also be a presentation from Headmistress Mrs Dougall and the Head of Lower School Mrs Taylor who will discuss life in Year 7, the curriculum, extracurricular activities and pastoral care – and how to apply for a place.
Families can choose to visit either in the morning or in the afternoon. Places for each time slot are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Introduction to Sixth Form
On Thursday 24 April from 4.45 – 6.15pm, this short, introductory event for students considering entry to our Sixth Form in 2026, offers the opportunity to tour our superb facilities and hear from the Head of Sixth Form and current Sixth Form students about life in St Helen’s Sixth Form and the array of A Level study and extra and super-curricular options available.

Sixth Form Experience Day
On Tuesday 17 June from 8.45am – 2.00pm, our Sixth Form Experience Day is open to students currently in Year 10 and considering St Helen’s for Sixth Form in 2026.
At this event, prospective students will experience A Level taster lessons and hear more about the array of super and extracurricular activities on offer.
Parents are invited to join their daughters at the start of the day for a talk by Headmistress Mrs Dougall and Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Scott-Malden followed by optional tours of the School.

13+ Activities Afternoon
On Friday 6 June from 1.00pm to 4.00pm we are inviting students in current Year 6 who are considering St Helen’s for Year 9 in 2027, to our 13+ Activities Afternoon. Students will take part in a carousel of various fun activities, and parents are invited to join us for tea at the end of the afternoon and to hear about life in Year 9 and Middle School at St Helen’s.

Headmistress’ Breakfast
These are small open mornings, starting at 9.10am, where you will have the opportunity to hear Headmistress Mrs Dougall speak, take part in a question-and-answer session with members of senior staff and finally have a tour with one of our students. Parents are welcome to attend with or without their daughter.

Family visits
Ideally, your first visit to the School would be at our Open Day at least one year prior to entry. Following this, families are warmly welcome to visit us for an individual appointment. Your visit will include a tour of the School and a meeting with a member of the Admissions team. It may also include a meeting with Headmistress Mrs Dougall on request. Meetings with the Headmistress can also take place virtually.
