Sports Day this year truly outdid itself. The day began with the screams of House spirit – a competition in which no one could out-compete the mighty Duffield dragons, despite desperate rallying cries from Dr Pringle’s neon disco-tech outfit for Paterson. Every student put in such a stellar effort in each of their events, from the pain of an 800m sprint to launching themselves over a high jump bar that felt taller than they were (at least in the Juniors’ cases).
The 24-(wo)man relay had to be the highlight of the day, with House mascot appearances and to top it all off: a roly-poly over the finish line.
Congratulations to all our record-breakers and personal-best winners of the day, and last but not least to Duffield as the ultimate cup holders – we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
