Astronomy Club is out of this world. Learn about black holes, the Big Bang, alien life and more. Search for exoplanets, build a comet and model gravitational waves. Get stargazing advice and tips and tricks for beginners and enthusiasts.

Athletics clubs run throughout Trinity term and students compete in a range of friendly fixtures in addition to entering regional and national competitions.

This club offers a chance to watch some epic documentaries and discuss the topics they raise, such as animal adaptations to their environment and the impact of human activities on ecosystems.

Badminton clubs run at lunchtimes for junior and senior squads. Teams compete in local fixtures.

This activity is provided by external teachers and is therefore subject to a sufficient take-up rate by students. This activity carries an additional cost.

Cantores is open to anyone in Year 9 upwards who enjoys singing. They perform a variety of musical styles at a number of different events. They have taken part in tours abroad and featured on several CD recordings, available from the Music Department.

CREST is run by the British Science Association and is Britain’s largest national award scheme for project work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through CREST students can undertake their own creative project work in an area that interests them.

Cricketers have the opportunity to play recreationally and competitively. Teams compete in friendly fixtures and are entered into county, regional and national competitions – indoor and outdoor.

Running and cross-country prove to be popular both as activities in their own right and as a supplement to fitness training. Students have the opportunity to compete in cross-country fixtures locally, regionally and nationally.

Darwinian Society is a club for Sixth Form students interested in exploring biology beyond the A level specification, including biology in the news, scientific research articles and practical work.

Debating is a dynamic, challenging activity and an invaluable skill to learn whilst giving students an opportunity to discuss topical issues of the day. We also organise joint debate events, dinners and competitions with nearby schools to gain further debating experience.

Each term, art scholars and those who we feel have exceptional ability in the subject have the opportunity for an extended period outside the taught curriculum to learn a new skill, work on collaborative projects and use materials not used in class.

Design and make a drone using Autodesk’s Fusion 360 CAD package and 3D printing, then create a team with an image to race against other teams.
