In April, our Musical Theatre Club put together a fabulous evening of staged songs from musicals inspired by historical events or related to a historical subject matter.
With performances ranging from solos to full ensembles, songs from the evening included musicals such as Come From Away, Six, Hamilton, Jesus Christ Superstar, The King and I and Les Misérables.
The evening was such a success that students performed the titular song, “Alexander Hamilton” from the musical Hamilton in assembly the following week.
Our Musical Theatre Club is largely student-run, and under the organisation and direction of its Sixth Form members.
