Last week year 8 went to Kew Gardens. We visited two amazing greenhouses which were filled with unique and tropical plants. The Princess of Wales Conservatory had lots of amazing cacti, orchids and carnivorous plants.
Here, we sketched different plants and looked at the patterns found on them. Next, we went to the Palm House which was filled with lush vegetation and a huge variety of palms. We sketched different seeds and looked at plant adaptations. The best part was going on the tree-top walkway where it was very high up and windy but we could see for miles!
