Welcome to St Helen and St Katharine. We are delighted that you are considering us for your daughter’s education.
Choosing the right school for your daughter can be one of the most important decisions you will make, and whether you are familiar with independent education or considering it for the first time, the Admissions team is here to help to advise and guide you through the process. Open Day 2025
Our next school Open Day will take place on Saturday 4 October from 9.00am to 12.30pm. It is an exciting opportunity for prospective families to discover all that is on offer at St Helen and St Katharine. Our departments will showcase their work in the classroom and beyond, and you will be able to meet students and staff. Your visit will include a tour of the School and subject-specific departments, and an address by the Head.
After arriving at your designated time, you may stay on campus as long as you wish. The event will close at 12.30pm.

Head’s Address – 10.30am and 11.30am
Sixth Form Forum (for those considering entry to our Sixth Form) – 10.30am to 11.15am

Sixth Form Experience Day
On Tuesday 17 June from 8.45am – 1.30pm, our Sixth Form Experience Day is open to students currently in Year 10 and considering St Helen’s for Sixth Form in 2026.
At this event, prospective students will experience A Level taster lessons and hear more about the array of super and extracurricular activities on offer.
Parents are invited to join their daughters at the start of the day for a talk by Headmistress Mrs Dougall and Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Scott-Malden followed by optional tours of the School.

13+ Activities Afternoon
On Friday 6 June from 1.00pm to 4.00pm we are inviting students in current Year 6 who are considering St Helen’s for Year 9 in 2027, to our 13+ Activities Afternoon. Students will take part in a carousel of various fun activities, and parents are invited to join us for tea at the end of the afternoon and to hear about life in Year 9 and Middle School at St Helen’s.

Junior Open Doors Afternoon
On Tuesday 10 June from 1.30pm to 3.45pm we will be holding our Junior Department Open Doors event where visitors can discover the joys of life in Years 5 and 6 at St Helen and St Katharine, see Juniors lessons in action and hear from the Headmistress Mrs Dougall and from the Heads of the Junior Department. Headmistress’ Breakfast
These are small open mornings, starting at 9.10am, where you will have the opportunity to hear Headmistress Mrs Dougall speak, take part in a question-and-answer session with members of senior staff and finally have a tour with one of our students. Parents are welcome to attend with or without their daughter.

Family visits
Ideally, your first visit to the School would be at our Open Day at least one year prior to entry. Following this, families are warmly welcome to visit us for an individual appointment. Your visit will include a tour of the School and a meeting with a member of the Admissions team. It may also include a meeting with Headmistress Mrs Dougall on request. Meetings with the Headmistress can also take place virtually.
