Open Day

Our next whole school Open Day will be on Saturday 3 October 2020. This is a lively and informal occasion with a range of events and displays as well as the opportunity to have a guided tour of the School and attend a talk by the Headmistress. You do not need to register to attend this event, please do just come along.

Nearer the time we will send a programme of the day to families whose details we currently have on our system. If you would like to receive a programme but have not previously provided us with your details please complete your details here.

Headmistress' Breakfast events

Headmistress' Breakfasts take place throughout the year. It is an opportunity to see the School 'in action' on a normal school day. We have a small group of families join us for breakfast and a chat with the Headmistress, Mrs Dougall, and senior staff. Families then have a tour of the school campus with current students. These events are relevant to all entry points available at St Helen's. Future dates include:

  • Friday 14 February 2020 - fully booked
  • Monday 9 March 2020 - fully booked
  • Thursday 23 April 2020 - fully booked
  • Tuesday 12 May 2020
  • Friday 19 June 2020

Arrival is from 8.45–9.10am and the event will finish at approximately 10.30am.

To register to attend a Headmistress' Breakfast, please contact our Admissions Office.

Individual visits

Ideally, your first visit to the School would be at our Open Day at least one year prior to entry, although we would encourage you to come along earlier - children of all ages are welcome. Following this visit, in the year prior to entry, you are invited to make an appointment with the Headmistress, to tour the School with one of our Sixth Form students and to meet with the Admissions team. Please contact our Admissions Office to request an appointment.

A-level Options Open Evening

The next A-level Options Open Evening will be held in October 2020.

This is an important event for prospective students and their parents who are considering St Helen's Sixth Form. They join current students and parents from Year 11 to find out about our Sixth Form programme of study, including subjects available, course details and the opportunities for breadth and depth of study including the EPQ.

The Head of Sixth Form, A-level subject teachers and current Sixth Form students will all be on hand to discuss chosen subjects in more detail.

Our Careers and Higher Education Department will also be available to discuss which subjects are relevant to different degree courses and future careers.
