On Friday 22 November, a small group of year 10-13 students joined Dr Chater and Miss Shuter for an evening of astronomy.
Alongside some of us taking part in the British Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad Junior competition, we enjoyed space-themed puzzles, games and pizza before going out to observe the night sky. We captured images of Andromeda galaxy and Dumbell Nebula with the school’s Vespera Astrocamera, and gazed upon clear views of Saturn and Jupiter with Dr Chater’s Dobsonian telescope, whilst enjoying hot chocolate.
