Michaelmas term cross country update

This season has seen success across all age groups, from junior to senior competitions.

We hosted the annual cross country partnership event at Church Farm with over 50 St Helen’s students competing and followed up with the English Schools Athletics Association cross country cup county and regional rounds.

The Junior (U13) and Intermediate (U15) teams came first in the county rounds, progressing to the regional round at Stowe. The Intermediate team of Riona, Cici, Mary, Scarlett (Year 10), Freya and Scarlett (Year 9) blew the opposition away, winning the regional round for the first time in the history of SHSK cross country. The Junior team of Margot, Martha, Rosie, Nina (Year 8), Bea M and Bea G (Year 7), came 4th, narrowly missing out on nationals by a single point. A fantastic effort by all. Sadly, the national round for the Intermediate team at Leeds was postponed because of Storm Darragh and has been rearranged for 1 March 2025.
