For Years 8 and 10 the annual ski trip to Les Menuires was the one of the highlights of this year.
We started off each day at 8:00 with breakfast and were quickly out by 9:00. Conditions were great with loads of snow except for one day where there was a full-on white-out that made it difficult to see the person in front of us. We still skied on and were happy for the hot chocolate that greeted us when we returned. As days went by, we grew more and more confident, starting to carve and speeding up. At the end of the week the top speed was Martha at 107kph.
Some of the best parts of skiing were the pixel jump park, slalom and bits of off-piste. We enjoyed going away somewhere with our friends and having a laugh and a great time. For apres-ski we did many activities including quiz night, bobsleigh-style roll coasters and even a snowman making competition.
With the weather being amazing and the slopes being crisp and nice we were sad to leave at the end of the week but were very tried. All in all, it was an excellent week of skiing.
