Students performed an SHSK interpretation of the classic tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to raise money for charity.
Lucy (Lower Sixth) said: ‘On Tuesday 13 June, students from all years gathered in the Studio Theatre to attend the Charity Play. Written by the School’s two Lower Sixth charity reps, Lucy and Chloe, the Charity Play was an adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (though ours featured the addition of an eighth) and was performed by members of staff, with Lower Sixth drama club students joining in as the dwarfs. The play featured Headmistress, Mrs Dougall, as the narrator, guiding us through the (somewhat questionable at points) story and starred the enthusiastic Head of English, Mr Muir, as Snow White.
‘We managed to raise over £250 from the event, selling tickets to both students and staff. All of the proceeds will go to the School’s chosen charity of the year: Aspire.’
