We had a great game against Bancroft School with an amazing win of 35-24.
We had some really nice attacking play with the ball being driven down the court at a good pace, leading to some incredible feeds into the circle. Our shooters made some lovely shots that gave us a great score. The defence was very strong and gained loads of turnovers which we then were able to convert into goals.
Although it was a good game, we had a few regular mistakes that could be improved upon. We need to make sure that when we are attacking we don’t force balls to players that aren’t free and, if needed, we will always have our backup. I think that feeds into the circle were generally good but sometimes we forced balls into the GS instead of looking for the GA. Sometimes when we were marking we were giving our players too much room to run which meant we were just following them around instead of stopping them from getting the ball. A very good team performance.
