Weekly sports roundup

Every week, during our Whole School assembly, Sports Captain Kitty (U6) reads out the most recent highlights in sport throughout the school. Here is the sports roundup from this week (17 March 2025):

A huge week of netball with 15 teams playing fixtures last week!

The netball team of the week is GS Imi (Y7), GA Rosie (Y7), WA Rose (Y7), C Daniella (Y8), WD Lily (Y8), GD Alina (U6), GK Amy (Y9).

U13A Netball lost in the Sisters and Sport semi final 36-26 to Streatham and Clapham High school. POMs Tilly and Poppy. ‘Well done’ on a great cup run.

‘Well done’ to the U18 9 aside football team for winning 3-1 in the county cup, progressing to the semi finals.

‘Well done’ to Year 5 and Year 6 for playing in the manor football tournament in separate competitions last week. POMs Coco and Tam in Year 6 and Year 5 Arya and Maya.

‘Well done’ to all the gymnasts for taking part in the junior competition against St Hugh’s and huge congratulations to Beth in Year 5 for placing third.

Huge ‘well done’ to Liya (Y7) for qualifying for 15 events at the ONB swimming county championships last month. She won 2 bronze and 1 silver medal.

‘Well done’ to Imogen (Y10) for achieving best female: speed development squad for her athletics club last Saturday. She ran 13.10 in the 75 m hurdles and 27.5 in the 200m achieving Personal best in both.

The following teams were called up on stage for congratulations: U14A for winning division 1 at the nationals and U13A for runners up in division 1 at the nationals.
