In May, our Year 10 Geography class went on a field trip to Shropshire and Snowdonia to explore rivers and glacial landscapes for our GCSE fieldwork.
On Day 1, after an early start and long drive, we arrived at Ashbrook to study the river and apply what we’d learned in class. We took various measurements along the river, bringing our lessons to life. After returning to our accommodation, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and evening group discussions.
On Day 2, we crossed the border into Wales to explore the glacial environment at Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia. After lunch at the visitor centre, we visited our first site to collect data, including a public survey which was especially fun. We continued around the corrie, gathered more tourism data, and took a group photo.
To end the trip, we had an awards ceremony and a fun final night. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip!
