On 14 June, we had our themed costume day all about the Ancient Greeks.
At the beginning of the day, we baked Spanakopitas (spinach and feta cheese wrapped in pastry) and orange-flavoured sugar cookies, which were very tasty. After that, we made and painted cardboard shields, even adding handles on the back!
Afterwards, Miss Chriti taught us how to write our names in Greek, including small phrases like Γειά σου (which means ‘Hello’).
Next, we acted out famous Greek myths and our own written short myths. Finally, at the end of the day, we practised shields formations and different ways of battle reenactment.
Overall, Ancient Greek Day was really fun!
