On Friday 28 February Mandarin students learnt how to make traditional Chinese dumplings.
It was a really fun opportunity to try cooking something very different to anything I’ve ever tried before. We learnt how to make small dumplings called jiaozi(饺子), and, whilst it could be tricky to fold the pastry correctly, it was very much worth it because they were delicious! Overall, the session was a great way to learn about Chinese culture in an interactive way to complement our study of the language in class.
